GREAT WORSHIP LEADERS
by Dan Wilt
"Great worship leaders have a wider skill set than just playing an instrument, leading worship and leading a band. Most churches cannot afford such a limited capability in a new staff member. Most pastors and leaders I know are looking for worship leaders stirred by Kingdom passion, and motivated by pastoral love for the church."

MY GREATEST LEADERSHIP MISTAKES: FAILURE TO APPRECIATE THE ARTIST TEMPERAMENT
By Butch Whitmire
"I have found that if an artist disagrees with a direction I propose, it is important for me to at least acknowledge and consider their opinion. So, I have found it is important I provide a framework for discussion to occur; that I create a space for listening. This is increasingly difficult as the pace of ministry and the size of our team and ministry grows. But I realize this must happen.

RIDING KAWASAKI: GUY KAWASAKI ON INNOVATION
"Silicon Valley’s Wonderboy discusses innovation, competition, and why the church must innovate … or die. Innovators see the world as half full with plenty of upside to make it better. They strive to make things 10 times better, not 10 percent better."

DESIGNING BRIDGE EVENTS THAT BRING PEOPLE INTO YOUR CHURCH DURING CHRISTMAS
by Tom Holladay
"Every healthy, balanced church needs a plan to reach its community for Christ – particularly when the Christmas season comes along. For Saddleback Church, part of our strategy is creating events designed to bring the unchurched to their campus for a non-threatening church experience.

LINCOLN BREWSTER'S TOP GUITAR TIPS IN WORSHIP
by Lincoln Brewster
"Guitar…CHECK! Tuner…CHECK! Strap…CHECK! Cables…UHHH, CHECK? Strings…UMMM, I’ll be right back. It’s typically not the big stuff, but the small stuff that becomes the time, or momentum killers before a service. In most worship settings, time is of the essence so it is very important to be fully prepared."

A CHRISTMAS OFFERING
by Paul Baloche
"Over the past fifteen years as Worship Pastor in my local church, I have found it a challenge to include worship songs that will integrate well into the Christmas season set list. I love pulling out the standard Christmas carols that we only seem to sing once a year, but I’ve found that very few of them are sung "to" The Lord. I believe it is so important in our congregational worship times to get our hearts going vertical."
